Merino Wool Care

Thanks to the unique properties of Merino wool, caring for your little one’s garments is easier than you think. Merino wool is a natural wonder, and its self-cleaning, odor-resistant qualities mean less washing and more playtime. Here's a simple guide to help you keep your Finch & Fable treasures looking as vibrant as the memories they're part of.

Self-Cleaning Magic: Merino wool naturally repels odor-causing bacteria, keeping your child's clothes fresh for longer periods.
Moisture Mastery: These garments absorb and release moisture vapor, preventing that icky dampness that leads to unwanted odors.
Less Washing, More Playing: Thanks to the self-cleaning powers of Merino wool, your child's outfits need less frequent washing, saving you time and water.
Air It Out: Instead of washing, simply hang the garments in fresh air between adventures. It's a breeze to keep things fresh!
Eco-Friendly Habits: By washing less frequently, you're not just saving time but also contributing to a greener planet. It's a small step towards reducing water consumption and lessening the environmental impact of clothing care.

Washing and Care Instructions:

  • Machine Wash: Most of our garments can be machine washed in cold water using your machine’s delicate or wool wash program. Use a mild organic or wool detergent.
  • Hand Wash: To promote longevity, hand wash any items not suitable for machine washing in cool water using a mild detergent specifically designed for woolens.
  • Dry Flat or Hang Dry: After washing, reshape the garment and hang dry or dry it flat on a clean, dry towel to prevent stretching.
  • No Bleach: Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as these can harm the natural fibers of the wool.
  • Spot Cleaning: For small stains, spot clean with a mild detergent and cool water. Gently blot the stain without rubbing.
